What are NFTs?
An NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is a unique, digital item with authentic blockchain-managed ownership. This means that a digital collectible can be confirmed as unique at any time by looking it up on the blockchain. What is a Blockchain?
A blockchain is a decentralized, distributed and public digital ledger (like a database) that stores transactions, ownership records and NFTs. At SSE, we will enable all distributed NFTs on the “Flow” blockchain. Click here for more in-depth background on Blockchain.
What is the environmental impact?
Ticketmaster chooses eco-friendly, energy-efficient blockchains with a low carbon footprint. Hitting an NFT on the “Flow” blockchain (which basically means creating) requires less energy than a Google search.
What are the Sharks Digital Collectibles planned?
Fans who attend select San Jose Sharks games (refer to full game list above) at SAP Center during the regular season will be eligible to receive a digital collectible at no cost. The designs of tokens will vary, and each will have a special dedicated theme associated with the respective game.
Who is eligible for an attendance-based Sharks Digital Collectible?
Every fan who scans at the SAP Center using a Ticketmaster SafeTix ticket at NFT-eligible games will receive a digital collectible via email. However, please note that one (1) token will be limited per Ticketmaster account regardless of how many tickets are on the individual’s account.
Going to the game with friends or family who want their own NFT? Before scanning your tickets in the game, send each person their ticket to use on their own personal Ticketmaster account. When they scan their ticket from their account, they will also receive the anniversary NFT delivered to their email address.
What is the meaning of collecting Sharks Digital items?
You know how people always say they were at the Game 7 comeback against the Golden Knights in 2019 or at Timo Meier’s franchise-record five-goal game last season? Well, your Sharks NFT is authentic proof of showing that you were at the Shark Tank for some of the most historic nights of the season.
Furthermore, there will be a utilitarian element where if someone collects all eight (8) Sharks digital items, they will be eligible to receive a special bonus NFT at the end of the season.
How do I receive and claim my Sharks Digital Collectible?
Access to the digital collection will be made available via a link emailed to eligible recipients after an eligible entry scan. To access your collections, please take the following steps:
- Click through the “Accept” button in the email or go to sharks-ticketmaster.live-nfts.com
- Sign in with your Ticketmaster account
- You will see your collectibles, both newly received and existing, waiting for you in your collection
How soon should I receive my NFT after ticket scanning at entry gate?
NFT will typically be delivered within one (1) hour of the ticket scan.
How do I send my Sharks Digital Collectible to someone else?
When you’re logged into your account and viewing your collection, click on the collection you want to transfer.
Click the “Give” button, and when the modal appears, please enter the email address of your desired recipient, then click the “Give” button again to confirm the transfer.
Your recipient will receive an email notifying them that they have been sent a collectible. They will need to click the “Accept” button in that email and sign in with their Ticketmaster account to complete the transfer.
If your recipient does not accept the transfer, the collectible will remain under your ownership until they do.
What can I do with my Sharks Digital Collectibles?
Collect – You can view your collection anytime at sharks-ticketmaster.live-nfts.com/wallet.
Share – You can share a link to your collectible on social media using the “Share” button to show that you were at the Shark Tank for the game.
Give – You can transfer your collections by email to any recipient of your choice.
Sell – While we strongly encourage you to keep and collect all of your Sharks NFTs, as the owner of your digital collectibles, you will have the personal option to sell your NFT(s) in the future to fellow Sharks fans who may be interested in purchases in the Sharks digital market.
